Andy Ah Wan Lim

Andy was born on March 08, 1949 in Sandakan Malaysia to Wong Hiong and Lim Tee Chiang. He is the youngest of five siblings, brothers William & Danny, sisters Yin Yin & Yin Kum. He had worked as an automotive mechanic in Sandakan, a heavy duty mechanic with Deutag Drilling in Brunei, and an automotive mechanic with Toyota in Vancouver BC Canada.

On February 28, 1968 he married Doris in Sandakan Malaysia where they met and fell in love. They have been inseparable since and have shared many happy memories together. They have decided to move to Canada for a better future for their kids, landed in Vancouver August 1988. They raised three sons Chris, Gerry and Tommy and daughter Nancy.

Andy was very passionate and at his happiest when outdoors. He shares all his passions and adventures such as fishing, crabbing, oyster hunting, boating, camping, and discovery of new places with his loving wife and kids.

He will forever be remembered for his incredible devotion and love for his family, for his generous heart, his good sense of humour, his quick wit, his infectious smiles, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He was always ready and willing to help anyone when there is a need.

Andy is survived by his loving wife Doris, his four children Chris, Nancy, Gerry and Tommy, his two grandchildren Emily and Ethan, his two brothers William and Danny, his sister Yin Yin, and several cousins nieces and nephews overseas.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 05th, 2020 at the Glenhaven Memorial Chapel on 1835 E Hastings Street Vancouver BC from 6pm to 8pm.
