

Bernard Hiponia Lamina passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, with his friends and family by his side. Bernard was born on August 20, 1967, in Buenavista, Guimaras and he grew up in San Francisco Del Monte Quezon City, where he excelled in several sports including track and field, basketball and was a member of San Pedro Bautista Church Choir. Bernard worked as a Seafarer for more than 20 years when his family moved to Canada in 2015, he started working in PNP Pharmaceutical for 7 years, he then moved to Eaton Industries (Canada) in 2023.
Bernard is fond of singing, dancing and a big cycling enthusiast he was previously the Vice President of GMBC (Guimaras Mountain Bikers Association) and was still an active supporter even after he moved to Canada. He loves to hang out with his family, friends and co workers.
Bernard is married his other half Elsie Pudadera Lamina in 1989 and was blessed with four daughters; Elsbern Lorraine, Micah Elisiah, Bernardine Beatrice and Chelsie Elnard. His kids, family and friends will hold dear the stories and have privileged to tell how he is a funny, loving and amazing person he is.
Bernard is survived by his parents, Virgilio and Nelly Lamina who raised him with unconditional faith, love and support. Sisters; Mary Jane Lacuesta, Jeanette Baco, and Cristy Lamina along with his brother-in law Nelson Lacuesta and Gerson Baco. He was known as “Papa King” to his two nieces Mizpah Janelle and Anaya Grace and two nephews Jeremiah John and Elijah Sean; whose memories, adventures, inside jokes and nicknames will hold special places in their hearts. Although he has left us too early, he will remain in our hearts, always and forever.
