Brian David Kai Foo Jang

Devoted husband and father, Brian Jang of Vancouver, BC passed away unexpectedly on April 19th, 2023, at the young age of 48. He was born and raised in Victoria, BC, later graduating from Simon Fraser University and spent 20 years working for Bureau Veritas.

Brian was predeceased by his father and mother, Robert and Linda and is survived by his wife, Florence, and children, Jordan and Sophia, siblings Douglas, Anita (Kevin) Liu, Jennifer (Nick) Shaw, nephews, nieces, and numerous extended family members.

Brian was a loving, supportive husband and brother, and never hesitated to help out his family and friends, while always making time to nurture and grow friendships with the many diverse people he had the good fortune of crossing paths with. His easy-going nature, kindness, and good sense of humor made him an easy person to like and be around.

Brian was an avid sports fan and could be found enjoying sports as a spectator or as a participant. His love for sports and being part of the action is illustrated by Brian maintaining his part-time job at Rogers arena (formerly GM Place) for more than 20 years.

Brian will be so dearly missed by his family and friends, but his legacy will live on through his children.

Brian's family invites you to take part in honoring his life at a funeral service scheduled at 12pm on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home (Address: 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC V5W 2Z1).

A viewing will take place on Friday, May 5th, 2023, at 6pm – 8pm. at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home.
