Cheung Wing, beloved husband, father and grandfather, will be remembered for his devotion to his family, love of music and large dinner gatherings. Wanting a better future for his children, the family immigrated to Canada when his daughter and son were young. Once his children were grown, he turned his nurturing attention to animals and tended to his pet birds, fishes, cats and dogs.
His passion for music was cultivated by listening to radio programs at a young age. Although most passionate about classical music, Beethoven in particular, his interest spanned all genres. A Mozart record could be followed by Elvis. Music was the universal language shared within the family, as it was always played in the house.
Cheung Wing and his wife, Grace, hosted dinners for family and friends throughout their shared life together, as there are countless pictures of large dining table gatherings over the years. He was a fine cook, and he enjoyed nothing more than preparing elaborate meals and sharing the jovial time of eating and bantering.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting dedicated donations to the Richmond Hospital in his memory, where he received excellent care.
