Daniel Joseph Gonzales

Sunrise January 30, 1958 – Sunset April 19, 2014

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of ‘Dano Magic’. Daniel recently moved home to Squamish Nation with his wife Gloria after spending 11 years in Ontario. Daniel always remained in close contact with family on Vancouver Island, the Interior as well as here on the North Shore. He will best be remembered for his kind smile and echoing laughter where ever he was.

Dano is survived by his loving wife Gloria May Eshkibok; man’s best friend Zoomzoom; children Tara (Donovan), Marshall (Kate) and Julie (Rodney); grandchildren Adelina, Tatiana, Natalia, Donovan Jr., Nicholas, Kestmic, Sincere and Tyson. He will also be dearly missed by his brothers Christopher, Wilfred, James (Lori), Eric (Arlene); sisters Karen, Kathleen (John), Emily and Darlene; godmother Mara Dieree / Kazezsemaka and special friendsVivian and Christine Simon; and many nieces, nephews loving relatives and dear friends.

A Catholic Prayer Service will be held at the Gonzales Family Home, 329 Skawshen Road, West Vancouver, on April 24, 2014 (Thursday) at 7:00 pm; a Catholic Funeral Service will also be held at St. Paul’s Indian Catholic Church, 424 West Esplanade Road, North Vancouver on April 25, 2014 (Friday) at 11:00 am.
