David Chan

Mr. David Chan was born on December 25th, 1970, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and passed away on July 8th, 2023, in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the age of 52 years. David will be remembered most for his love of fidgeting with his cars and toys. He enjoyed celebrating and sharing his birthday with his mom on Christmas Day. It was also time to reconnect, enjoy friends, family and David's favorite -- good food. Our David, has always been kind, caring and generous. He would help others whenever needed. David is survived by his mother, Woon Shik, siblings Susan, Tara, Henry, and Danny, 8 nephews and nieces, 3 second nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends. Some of our cherished memories of David will be his mischievous laugh and his smirk. He always found joy even in the darkest moments. Nothing is taken too seriously by David as he believed that everything will be okay. He was the original “don’t worry, be happy” type of person. David had a love sharing food with friends and family. If you dared him, he would eat almost anything. David will be greatly missed by everyone. An interment ceremony will take place on Thursday July 27 at 11am at Forest Lawn Cemtery, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, British Columbia.
