David Chi Kin Lam

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved David Chi Kin Lam on December 14, 2024, at the age of 88, at Burnaby Hospital. He was surrounded by his wife Pauline, son Peter, and daughter Anne in his final moments.

David was born in Hong Kong in 1936 and immigrated to Denmark in 1967, becoming a Danish citizen in 1978. A talented chef and dedicated restaurateur, he and his wife Pauline proudly owned and operated the China Garden Grill on Vaernedamsvej in Copenhagen for over 33 years. After retirement, David immigrated to Canada, where he became a citizen in 2011. He is survived by his wife Pauline, son Peter, daughter in-law Yvonne, daughter Anne, son in-law Edwin and grandchildren Christopher and Nicholas. From his first marriage, he is survived by Mrs. Lam, his son Kai Ming, daughter Flora, grandsons Titan, Vincent, and Adrian, granddaughters Sharon and Iris, and great-grandchildren Hannah, Carlos, Artemis, Axel, and Siu Bobo. He is predeceased by his sons Kai Yiu and Raphael (Kai Shun).

David will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
