Efstathia (Stathoula) Tsamis

March 5, 1929 – March 23, 2021

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister Efstathia (Stahoula) Tsamis on March 23, 2021 at the age of 92. Stathoula was born in Soulinari, Messinia, Greece, to parents Nikolas and Stella and immigrated to Canada in 1963. Predeceased by her husband Konstantinos (2011), daughter Georgia (1965), baby son Alexandros (1956) and brothers Dimitrios and George. She is survived by her children Stella (Vasili), Dimitrios (Nelly), Georgia (Peter), George (Andrea), Alex (Voula), 12 grandchildren (Yula, George, Dini, Katarina, Alexi, Stephanie, Brandon, Thalia, Nickolas, Tricia, Konstantinos, Alexandros), great grandchild (Bronson) siblings (Yanoula, Spiros and Laki) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered for her smile, kindness and for being a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who gave her unconditional love to her family. Her memory will live on and be cherished by us all. Regretfully, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to comply with public health orders a private funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 30 at 10:30 AM at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, located at 4500 Arbutus St., Vancouver, BC. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby, BC. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to contribute to a charity of your choice.
