Elizabeth May Gower

December 10, 1927 to March 17, 2014.

Betty’s family announces her passing.

Her husband, Peter Groves, predeceased her. Her older sister, Doris (Medicine Hat) and older brother, Alan (Weybridge, UK) survive her. She is survived by her daughter Jane with Beat (Victoria); and granddaughter Ann with Akos and great-grandchildren Eva and Marc (Basel, CH). Also survived by son Brian with Adele (Edmonton); and grandchildren Christy with Bryan (Edmonton) and Jennifer with Stephen and great-granddaughter Leah (Edmonton).

Elizabeth was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Mum always had her hands busy making beautiful things: knitting, sewing, and gardening. She loved to travel and shop, worked at the Richmond Public library for 25 years and volunteered with the Hospital Auxilliary for over 10 years.
