Gail passed away on February 9, 2026 and is survived by her children Billy (Cena) and Michelle (Troy), grandchildren Aidan, Mckenna, Joshua and Maisie, step-daughters Chiyoko and Kiyomi, as well as her older sister Ann, extended family and many good friends.
Gail instilled the love of traveling in her children and especially loved her trips to Palm Springs, Mexico and Hawaii. She was an avid racquetball player for many years, reaching the Canadian National semifinals for doubles in the 1980 Women's Open. She then switched her love of sports to golf and spent many a vacation on the links with her beloved husband, Ted, along with friends.
She was a Vancouver realtor and loved nothing better than touring houses and looking at design and style. And her style was next to none, she was always elegant whether in casual or formal wear, even while walking her dogs. In fact, you could often find her walking them to Starbucks for her daily latte and spinach wrap.
We know Gail joins Ted in joy, and their many dogs who are waiting on the rainbow bridge, to be together in their forever home.
Please join us in celebrating Gail at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home in Vancouver on March 2, 2026 at Noon, with a reception to follow. There will then be a small service at 2:45pm, graveside at Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, for family and close friends who wish to join.
The family requests donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC, in lieu of flowers, in acknowledgement of Gail's battle with the disease.
