How time flies! Can't believe it's been four years since you left us! Not a day goes by that I don't think of you, miss you and wish you were here. Sure hope you're having a ball up there in heaven, but don't forget to save a place for all of us. Love you lots!

Growing up, I had a love-hate relationship with you 舅父. On one hand, I couldn’t help admiring you for your wisdom and intelligence.  No joke, you’re like a walking encyclopaedia!  On the other hand, your wit always put me on guard when I was a kid, praying not to be the “target” of your jokes at family gatherings.  舅父 thank you for adding colours to my childhood and bringing joy to the family.  I love you and you will always be in my heart.

I can only thank God for giving me the opportunity to cross path with you. You weren’t just a brother-in-law to Iggy and me but also a dear friend.  Iggy always remembered how you went out of your way to help him with his first job in Hongkong. He was very thankful for your love and care. Our families became closer in the last 20+ years and I will miss the laughter and fun we shared over dinners.  Those heartfelt conversations inspired me and touched me. It’s too late to say but how I wished we had more of these moments! Our family will miss you sorely and we know that you will be with us in spirit whenever we meet with Daphne and Grace.  May you Rest In Peace, Gary and until we meet again .....

You are lucky to be able to fly in heaven,  I remember when you used to carry me over your shoulders and swim in Phuket.  It was scary but fun! I remember when you taught me how to play Sudoku at your house.  You were so good at it! I also remember playing cards with you.  You taught me many things that I will forever remember.

I remember when we all went to Hawaii and had so much fun.  That was one of the best vacations I have ever had.  I would also miss visiting you.  You will always be in my heart forever.

Gary was truly my 'Gary 哥', a brother six years my senior. The only son in the family, he was never spoiled by our mother who doled out punishment when it was due. That, however, didn't stop him from acts of mischief which often annoyed our elder sisters to no end. Being the baby in the family, I was thankfully spared most of his pranks. But I remember how they fought until they ended up crying, and then made up laughing their heads off.

Yes, my brother was the kind of guy who could make you laugh and cry at the same time. You might find his pranks annoying, but you could never be mad at him for long. His one-of-a-kind charisma drew people to him like a magnet, and won him many life-long friends.

November 19, 1972 - my wedding day. As Kelly and I were walking down the aisle after the ceremony, Gary stepped up, pulled Kelly aside and whispered something in his ear. Later, Kelly told me what he said: "You crazy fool! Six years ago today I made the same mistake!" Indeed, we shared the same anniversary and many a time we celebrated together.

But no, Gary, it was no mistake and you did something so right. You found yourself a fine, strong and capable woman in Grace. She gave you two wonderful children and took painstaking  care of you throughout, particularly in the last days of your life. For this, I am eternally grateful. Daphne and Gabriel, my thanks to you too for being so supportive in his journey.

Au revoir, but not goodbye, my dearest brother. May you laugh, sing and dance with the angels. May you bag a place for us all in heaven. We will meet there again some day.
