Hilda Silvia Maulen
November 17, 1939 – November 13, 2016
Anyone that knew Hilda saw her as a very happy, positive and fun-loving person. She could make you smile and lend an ear when you needed her the most. She did not judge you but kept your spirits up and found a silver lining in the cloud.
Hilda’s brothers Juan and Neslon and sisters Estrella and Rosa were blessed with the spirit of a long life of love by their beloved sister Hilda. No one cherished her family more than Hilda. Hilda’s children, Luis Maulen and Marcela Kisun provided her with many moments of shared laughter. She showed a mother’s love that will never be forgotten. What brought her youth on a daily basis were her grandsons Alexander Kisun and Christian Kisun. An even more special spot was held ever ready for her eldest grandson Steven. We as family and friends should not see this as a time for sadness but our opportunity to band together as Hilda’s extended family, one and all, unified together in knowing we were all loved and be reminded to love each other every day as if Hilda was standing beside us all, still. Picture Hilda dancing beside you, or walking and talking about all the old times and raise a glass of wine and believe that all future meals there will be seat for her in our hearts at our dinner table. Here is to a life well lived and a blessing from Hilda to all of us to remember, ours is a life to live, it’s not what you own, it’s who you spend your time with and make sure everyone in your life knows just how much they mean to you, the one thing we all have is the love we can give back to our family and friends. What a fine example Hilda left for us to follow, She’s watching us and smiling down on us every day. We are not alone and together we should celebrate our lives together, Hilda’s arms are around us and pushing us to keep smiling, tomorrow is another day but make today the important day.
We love you Mom, our sister and friend Hilda. You touched us all.
OUR ANGEL IN HEAVEN
What it meant to lose you, no one will ever know
We think you in silence and often speak your name
The moment you had passed away
Our hearts broke in two as we feel the bitter blow that should never have come
