

James worked for Shaw in the IT department in Vancouver and in his life he had many loves and interests. These included: Quantum Physics, Technology of all kinds, Space Sciences Travel and Exploration (he wanted to travel into space), Ocean Sciences, Nature, Travel, Flying in any plane but he especially liked to pilot Cessnas, Alien and ghost/spirit exploration, sightings and theories, Roulette, black jack, Cruising, Star Trek (all), Dr. Who (all), reading technical and non fiction books and magazines. He loved taking care of his pets and the family pets, promoting and supporting the Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary (he said if he passed before us to give a donation in his name). He loved cryogenics (he wanted to be frozen if possible so he could see the future), driving (he loved to drive his Beast (Tahoe), road trips, getting gas in US because he hated Canadian taxes, politics (small c Conservative), stocks on NASDAQ, collecting silver and gold coins, taking pictures and videos, flying his drone and taking pictures from 300 to 400 feet up (he kept in legal bounds), hanging out with his friend Zack, keeping in touch with friends he has met in life via Facebook. He loved watching TV shows such as Star Trek (especially with his Dad and/or brother Joe), Flash, Supergirl, NCIS New Orleans, Ghost Adventures, anything science channel, Dr. Who, Babylon 5; he enjoyed helping out his family, seeing and spending time with them and his beloved nephew Ben and nieces Natalie and Lil. He loved enjoying his favorite foods such as Coca Cola, Wendy’s burgers and malts. He loved his view from work in Shaw Tower, decorating inside and out for Halloween (including smoke machine and sounds) and Christmas, handing out Halloween candy and complementing kids on costumes (he loved children and still had dreams of being a dad); all this and so much more.
James also had a love of travel. His travels included:
British Columbia – Barkerville, Cache Creek, Chilliwack, Christina Lake, Grand Forks, Hells Gate Canyon, Hope, Jewel Lake, Kelowna, Lac La Hache, Midway, Nanaimo, Osoyoos, Peachland, Penticton, Princeton, Summerland, Vernon, Victoria, Prince George, Salmon Arm, Williams Lake, Quesnel, 100 Mile House (and parts between as this was while on driving holidays).
Alberta – Banff, Calgary, Drumheller, Edmonton, Glacier Ice Fields, Jasper, Lake Louise (and parts in between as it was while on a driving holiday).
California – Corning, Disneyland, Hollywood, Knotts Berry Farm, Mt. Shasta, Santiago, San Francisco, Sea World, Solvang, Universal Studios, Los Angeles (and parts between as this was while on a bus tour).
Caribbean - Aruba, Cozumel (Mexico), Curacao, Grand Turk (Turks & Caicos), Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands), Jamaica (Montego Bay & area), St.
Maarten, St. Thomas, Stingray City (Grand Cayman Islands), Puerto Rico (San Juan).
Florida – Cape Canaveral (Kennedy Space Port), Cypress Gardens, Disney World, Epcott Centre, Orlando, Kissimee, Gatorland Farm, St.
Petersburg, Universal Studios (and parts between on flying and driving vacation).
Louisiana – Honey Island Swamp on Pearl River, New Orleans (city tour by walking and by carriage,French Quarter, Paddle wheeler Cruise & Lunch.
Oregon – Eugene, Salem (and parts between as this was bus tours).
Nevada – Carson City, Red Rock Canyon, Kitty Cat Ranch (bus driver did a drive through), Lake Tahoe (including Ponderosa Ranch film set), Las
Vegas, Laughlin, Route 66 Highway, Reno, Virginia City (and parts between as this was a fly and drive tour).
Washington – Bellingham, Blaine, Everett, Seattle, Tacoma (and parts between on shopping excursion and on the way to Sea Tac airport).
Arizona - Grand Canyon
James passed away suddenly on September 14, 2017 in Vancouver, British Columbia. A funeral service for James will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium, 5505 Fraser Street, Vancouver, British Columbia.
James was cremated on September 28, 2017. His ashes were divided so that he could stay at home and also complete his most wanted trips: A final flight with his long time friend Sydney, a trip to the Hawaiian Islands with his family, a trip to the Panama Canal with his family, and a trip into Space.
James will be deeply missed by his family that he loved and all who knew him.
