James Paul Kondrosky

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of James Kondrosky. Predeceased by his father Vic, James is survived by his loving partner Tracy-Lea, mother Judy, sisters Lesley (Andrew), Leanne, Karley (Jack), nieces Danielle and Chloe, nephew Jake, grand-niece Brooklyn, lifetime friend Kurt, close friends Corby and Shane and extended family.

From a young age, James exhibited a keen interest in animal biology, particularly birds and amphibians. It was not uncommon to visit him and find a new cayman or snake—sometimes even a missing one—at his home. James's passion for music led him to learn the drums, often having spirited sessions in his parents' basement, leaving a legacy of finger tapping on any available surface. His mechanical brilliance extended to refurbishing vintage autos, including a 1950s army ambulance and over 20 different muscle cars. Most notably his cherished 1967 Cougar and 1949 green Ford truck. Recently, James acquired a Harley Davidson, he was told if he could fix it, he could have it and in usual James fashion he was soon riding it away. James pursued a career as an aircraft mechanic working at Air Canada and Harbour Air. He later became a pilot. In 1995, he returned to academia to earn a Bachelor of Business from Simon Fraser University. Shortly after he also completed his CFA, Certified Financial Analyst, Level II. Later in life James discovered a love and talent for photography, founding 'Dance Hog Photography' to capture the grace of his partner Tracy's dance students and models.

James will be fondly remembered for his quiet honesty, modest nature, sincerity and wry sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he be at peace and ride on.
