He is survived by his children, Harprit and Sukh, his brothers Kartar and Ranjit and sisters Paramjit and Ravinder. He is predeceased by his brother Darshan and his wife Jasbir.
Jogindar immigrated to Canada from India in 1970 with his family. He worked as a traffic manager at Allied Engineering. After retiring, he worked on contract as a Translator.

There will be a Kirtan (prayer service) and Lungar (vegetarian lunch) afterward starting at 12:30 pm at Akali Singh Gurdwara, 1890 Skeena Street, Vancouver.
