It is with deep sadness we announce the death of our son Jordan Matthew Chursinoff, on June 3, 2022, in Burnaby, BC. Born on July 17, 1977, Jordie was 44 years old. He is survived by his mother Margaret Cornish (Andrea Mann), father Edd Chursinoff, daughters Bryanna Jang and Keira Jang, sisters Kirsten Chursinoff (Ernst Schneider), Megan Chursinoff (Raoul Fernandes), brothers Jon Cornish (Kirandeep Seetal),and Alex Cornish, nephews Ansel and Oscar Schneider, Leith and Niko Fernandes, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
As a teenager and young man who excelled at sports, Jordie was an avid lacrosse player who greatly enjoyed his years in goal with the New Westminster Salmonbellies and Burnaby Lakers. He worked as a house painter with a passion for restoring Arts and Crafts homes and historic buildings. Jordie loved long walks, and hanging out with Bryanna and Keira, always interested in what they were learning and doing. He was so proud of their many accomplishments in dance, musical theatre, softball, and most of all, in who they have become – kind, community minded, generous and loving young women.
We will remember Jordie for the intelligent, creative, funny, and beautiful person he was. He will always live in our hearts and memories.
Jordie is laid to rest at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver, (604)980-3451.
