Leslie William James Read was born November 3, 1926 on the family farm in Ramsdell, Hampshire, England to parents Albert and Daisy. Leslie is predeceased by his parents, brothers Jim and Terry, and sister Gwen. He is survived by brother Morry, sister Masie, daughter Mary Ann (Dave), grandson Michael, long time partner Margaret and her daughter Jeanne as well as a large extended family. Leslie moved to Canada in 1951 and became a Canadian citizen. He worked 9 years as a truck driver before working 30 years for BCTel. Leslie and his partner Margaret enjoyed traveling to many places, fulfilling what he considered his greatest interest. Leslie will be deeply missed.
