Lois Lindner loved her family, her work, and large scale home renovation projects. After a lifetime of service, she retired from this world on her own terms. She died at home, naturally, taking her last breath among us on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband (2006) and son (2012). There will be no funeral service at her insistence. Her cremation will take place on December 1, 2023.

As a YWCA Women of Distinction nominee, the following tribute aptly describes my mother's defining achievement:
"Lois was a beacon of light to an often misunderstood patient community. She established and delivered programs that provided accurate information, compassion, and tools to improve the lives of people with hemophilia and of their loved ones. An acknowledged nursing expert in the area, Lois worked with scientists, researchers, and the health professionals who worked with the parents and patients themselves. As a volunteer at summer camps, she counselled and supported youth who were infected with HIV through transfusion, or, by teaching home transfusion, she improved the quality of many lives, and thus enriched the whole community."
