A golden heart has left us on an early morning just before Christmas with family at her side. Lucie lived a long and healthy life until this passed July when she was diagnosed with cancer. Lucie's perseverance and determination helped her in many ways in her life including until the end of her life. Lucie was born in Quebec to Lucille and to her father who immigrated from Poland in the 1920’s. Lucie was an amazing chef in the kitchen and she truly loved surprising her family with their favorite meals. Lucie loved listening to music for hours and enjoyed the outdoors. She played many sports during the course of her life and her favorite ones were hockey, cross-country skiing, baseball, fishing and skating. Lucie enjoyed riding her motorbike in her young days and her snowmobile for nearly four decades until her 60’s. Lucie loved going for a ride on a sunny day in her convertible in her 20’s and later in life with her daughter. Lucie was an incredible person who always reach out to help others and she was an amazing solutions finder for people she loved. Lucie was generous with her wisdom and always made space for listening others. Lucie always encouraged people to be brave, independent and to feel all of their feelings along the way. Lucie was the foundation of her family and was admired by people who knew her. Lucie is survived by her husband of 57 years and her daughter. Lucie will be profoundly missed by her daughter, her husband and by all who knew her during the course of her life.
Mom your life was a treasure and you are loved beyond words. Mom you will be missed and you will be forever in our hearts.
Your daughter, your husband and Tika.
