Our beautiful Mackenzie has passed and we share this news with heavy hearts. He is survived by his parents Randy and Kim, grandparents Don and Grace Dungate, brothers Taylor, Blair, Glen, Donny, Noah, Farzad, Keivaan. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his boyhood friends and his extended family brothers.
Mack’s greatest joys included playing LVLL baseball, LVSA Soccer and GSL football in North Vancouver. He loved the water, whether boating, swimming and especially jumping into the waters of Lynn Canyon. He loved to eat and cooking food. Music was also important to him. Mack attended Boundary Elementary School and Argyle Secondary School.
He was a determined boy, climbing to the top of the playground equipment as a toddler, riding his bike or trike with reckless adventure and he loved the rush when jumping off a rope swing to the water below.
Mack was such a joy and such a boy!
Mack had a competitive spirit and strived to be better. He was also caring and concerned around young ones and animals and would take those frail ones under his wing. He was proud of being a part of such a large extended family.
Mack championed the underdog and stood up for what he thought was right regardless of the consequences – he was tenacious and was not afraid of a challenge.
He lived life, he loved his brothers and his boyhood friends. Mack loved his family and was a gentle soul, but also private by nature.
We will always have special memories of his smile, his beautiful curly hair, his spirit and all that he brought to our lives. We will miss him terribly and will share with you his stories and welcome you to share yours as well.
No matter what your relationship was with Mack, please know you are very welcome to share in his Celebration of Life Service, at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 26 at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel 1835 East Hastings St. Vancouver. We his family, would love to hear your stories of him.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hollyburn Family Services 265 Esplanade W, North Vancouver, BC V7M 1A5.
