Maria Dyck

Born on September 9, 1934, Maria lived a life marked by love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Her gentle spirit, warm humour, and quiet strength were a blessing to all who knew her. Through life’s joys and sorrows, she carried herself with grace and resilience, inspiring those around her with her steadfast devotion to family and her deep compassion for others.

Maria’s greatest joy was her family, and her love for them knew no bounds. She will be profoundly missed by her daughters, Natalia (Mark) and Susanna; her grandchildren, Samantha, Jenna, Austin, and Dylan; and her great-grandchildren, George, Lukas, Henry, and Giselle.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Gerhard (“Grisha”); her sons, Boris and Vladimir; and many cherished family members who went before her.

A celebration of Maria’s life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church, 4850 Windsor Street, Vancouver.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nurses and caregivers at the Louis Brier Home, whose care and kindness brought comfort during Maria’s final years.

Maria’s legacy of love, faith, and perseverance will live on in all who knew her. She will remain forever in our hearts—deeply loved and never forgotten.
