She was born in Loreburn Saskatchewan on her family‘s farm in 1927. In 1946 she moved with her husband Ralph to Vancouver British Columbia to begin their new life on the West Coast where they welcomed 5 children.
Sadly, in 1974 her husband Ralph passed away leaving her to raise her five children on her own. She devoted her life to her family as a loving mother and the rock of our family.
She is predeceased by her mother, Margaret, father John, husband, Ralph, bother Elmer, sister Anne, and in 2023 her daughter Verna.
Left to mourn her passing, while also celebrating the strong, loving and generous woman she always was, are her children; Margaret, Venus, Ralph, and Tami, grandson Freddy, great grand children, Matthew, Stephanie, Jessica, Jonathan, Beatrice, Tyson, great-great grand children Annaleighah, Hayden, and Jaxton, as well as many extended family and dear friends.
Being an active walker and gardener all of her life was one of the many secrets to her healthy longevity.
Sadly, in 2020 she broke her ankle and that accident prevented her from continuing her active lifestyle, but did not prevent her from being the active and engaged matriarch of our family that she had always been. Her unconditional love and support was a gift all that knew her were blessed with and will be the one thing we will all cherish and miss the most.
We are thankful that she only suffered a couple months of declining health before she went home to be with those she loved that had passed on before. We take comfort knowing she was welcomed home in Heaven with a celebration of the great life she lived.
Until we meet again we will carry her memory and her special love in our hearts.
We love you and miss you.
