

Surrounded by her family, Oy Lan Kwok, passed away peacefully on June 23rd, 2023. She was a role model for a life well lived. Born in Zhongshan, China in 1931. She grew up in China and got married to Jerry Kwok in 1947. She came to Canada via Hong Kong to join Jerry in 1957. From very humble beginnings on their farm in Surrey, to working as a seamstress at Aero Garment and Mr. Jax. They built a life in Vancouver. Oy Lan will be remembered for living her life her way. If riches were measured in moments inspiring her family, laughing over a funny moment, discussing horse racing, she was wealthy beyond measure. Lovingly remembered by her daughter, Millie (George Chan), granddaughters Megan and Michelle, brother Nelson (Carol) Wong, sisters Elaine (Brian) Jang, Nancy (Sandy) Munroe, Tammy Lee, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Jerry Shuen Chung Kwok and infant son, Kwok Chaan Kwun. Service to take place on July 3rd 12:30 pm at GlenHaven Memorial Chapel, entombment at Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum (by entrance) at 3 pm. Celebration of life dinner to follow (details to be announced).
