Patrula was one of eight children, money and materials were few and far between for the family but that didn’t matter, as they were surrounded by love and happiness.
As Pat matured into a teenager, she was presented with the opportunity to immigrate to Canada and that’s what she decided to do. At 19 Pat joined her older brother George in Vancouver in search of more opportunities and a better life. Her younger brother Nonda came shortly after. Vancouver quickly became her home; she loved this city.
In 1967 She met her soul mate Gerassimos, who immediately swept her off her feet with protection and affection. Jerry made Pat his wife in January 1969, and they began their beautiful life together, built on a foundation of respect and admiration. Jerry and Pat welcomed their Princess Voula in November of the same year, and after some struggles they welcomed their Prince Panagiotis in January of 1976.
Pat and Jerry worked tirelessly together at their beloved Broadway Bakery, greeting everyone with a smile, kindness and warmth. They devoted all hours of the day to ensure that they provided a start for their children that they weren’t fortunate enough to have. Peter and Voula wanted for nothing; they both had the best of the best, but on top of that an abundance of love.
Pat opened her arms and her heart to her son in law Alex and daughter in law Stephanie treating them as if they were her own. In 1996 Pat welcomed her first granddaughter Stephanie followed by Tricia, Jerry and Isabella, they were the lights of her life. Her grandchildren reset her life, they gave Pat purpose, happiness and they were her ultimate medicine right up until the end.
Pat existed driven by love, and powered by her heart, and ultimately it was her heart that couldn’t give her anymore. All that met her loved her, all that she met she loved. She has instilled her morals and values in her family, and they will continue her legacy with pride. Mama, Yiayia, Agapi, we will love you forever. Continue to watch over us and protect us like you always have. Thank you for everything, sleep tight.
Prayers will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4500 Arbutus Street, Vancouver where a funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9th at 12:30pm. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

We little knew that morning
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
You did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide,
And although we cannot see you
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again
