Born on April 26, 1940 in Kandy, Sri Lanka, Ranee lived a life that radiated kindness, generosity, resilience, and love of family. She was deeply devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, meeting friends at iHOP or getting together at a local pub.
While working at Wardair, Canadian Pacific Airlines and then Air Canada, Ranee had a passion for adventure and loved to travel around the world. Every year for 16 years she attended the World Airline Road Race with her last one being in Honolulu, Hawaii. She loved meeting up with her friends and colleagues from airlines around the world.
She is lovingly survived by her husband Santhiapillai Arul Raja; her children Nalini McIntosh (Glen) and Ranjan Raja (Ann); and her grandchildren, Cyena, Cate and Christopher; and will be missed by her beloved companions Nova and Marty.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Michael’s Hospice in her memory.
Ranee will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Her love and legacy live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
