It is with great sadness that the Yoshida family announces the passing of their mother and grandmother Ritsuko Yoshida.
Ritsuko was pre-deceased by her husband Tsugio (Bill) in 2023 and will be greatly missed by her family; daughter Linda, son Ben (Cathy), granddaughter Claire (Dennis), sisters Mutsuko and Ayako (George), sister-in-law Tazuko and many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by the Co family: Casper (Jane), Carlin, Kristen and Celine.
Ritsuko was born on April 5, 1937, in Langley, BC. In 1942, she and her family were interned in Sandon and Slocan, BC, before moving to Japan. She returned to Canada with her sister Mutsuko in 1954, paving the way for the rest of the family to follow in the next few years. In 1962, she married Bill, and they raised their family in Vancouver before moving to Delta in 2015 to live with Ben and Cathy.
A Memorial Service will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel on March 13, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., to celebrate her life and honour the unwavering love, strength, devotion, and joy she brought to her family.
