Mr. Robert Lum Chong Gock

Dad lived a very full life; he retired officially in 1989 but was kept busy by his family and friends. He would spend hours gardening; working at many projects and handyman tasks on behalf of his son and daughter; travelling to sunny destinations with Mom and friends and later playing with his beloved 5 year-old granddaughter, Kaitlyn

Robert is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Rosemary, son Christopher, daughter-in-law, Corina; daughter, Angela, son-in-law, Ken, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn. He is also survived by brothers (and their respective spouses): Andrew (Georgina), Johnson (Margaret), Edward (Monika), David, Swanson (Sandi) sisters Mavis (Johnson) and Marie (Helmut) and sisters-in-law, Lucia and Yolanda and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Gock Shee Yuen and Gock Lui Po Chun, brothers, Willie and Ronson, and sister-in-law, Patricia.

The funeral service for family and friends will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC.
