Sophie Florence Davidson

February 13, 1943 – February 12, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sophie Davidson, who departed this world peacefully on February 12, 2026, in Vancouver, British Columbia, just one day before celebrating her 83rd birthday.

Born on the beautiful shores of Haida Gwaii on February 13, 1943, Sophie was the beloved daughter of Alfred and Rose Davidson. Her life was defined by her resilience, her deep roots in her heritage, and an unwavering love for her family.

Sophie has now been reunited in the afterlife with those who went before her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Rose; her devoted partner of many years, Don; and her six cherished children: Karen, Gilbert, Peter, Eileen, Wendel, and Vincent. She also joins her siblings, Leona, Faith, Alfred Jr., and Margaret, in eternal rest.

She leaves behind a legacy of strength and is survived by her best friend and youngest sister, Joan Boisjoly and her husband Yves. Sophie will also be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were touched by her kind spirit.

A Celebration of Sophie's life will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel - 1835 E. Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC.
