In loving memory of Thomas (Tom) James Crook who passed away peacefully at his home on October 22, 2016 at the age of 56. Tom was born on February 12, 1960 to Julie and Raymond Crook in Edmundston NB. He was the second oldest of 4 children. Predeceased by his mother Juliette (Julie) Crook, Tom is survived by his father Raymond Crook of Edmundston NB, sisters Pearl (Anthony) Lee of Labrador City NFLD, Parnell (Thomas Winterbottom) Crook of Burritts Rapids ON, Betsy (Russell Knight) Crook of Kelowna BC and his many nieces and nephews.
Tom loved the outdoors and the wildlife that surrounded him. He particularly enjoyed skiing and fishing. At the age of 17 years old he rode his bicycle across Canada, in pursuit of the mountains. When he arrived in Whistler, he knew he had found home. It was there that Tom spent most of his life doing what he enjoyed and working as a general contractor.
Tom was resourceful and will be fondly remembered for fighting for what he believed in, his jovial laugh, his playful teasing, the need to “get ones goat”, and keen card playing abilities.
The family will be celebrating his life privately, at a later date.
