Ugo Del Bianco

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ugo Del Bianco. He was a strong and quiet gentleman, husband, father, Nonno and Bis Nonno. He is survived by his daughter Elena, sons Massimo (wife Carol) and Gianni (wife Kim), four grandchildren and their spouses and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Amabile in Italy, as well as many nieces and nephews. We will miss his smile, his passion and dedication to all of his family and friends, his skills in the garden and his gentle humorous demeanor with all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a classic old-world stoic who never complained and fought hard just like he worked hard his entire life. He instilled a profound work ethic in his children and all that worked alongside him. He continued on with a broken heart after the loss of his wife Maria, after almost 61 years of marriage. Maria passed away in March 2020 after a long battle with dementia. Ugo passed away with his children by his side, honouring his last wishes while he bravely battled the cancer that had returned. It gives us all comfort that Maria and Ugo are once again together for eternity, smiling down on us.

We will be holding a prayer service for Ugo & Maria on Tuesday February 22, 7:00pm, at Sacred Heart Parish, 525 Campbell Ave, Vancouver.

We will be having a Celebration of Life/Reception on Thursday February 24th, Noon, at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser St.
