Valerie Melanie June Martin

She is predeceased by her parents John and Stephanie Martin and her siblings Patricia Mullin and Gary Martin.

Valerie is survived by her loving daughter Cheryl Martin and Cheryl's husband Matthew Bingham along with grandsons Jaydon McIvor and Cristiano Bingham. Valerie is also survived by her brother Wayne Martin and sisters Marlene Leek and Linda Martin. Many nieces and nephews survive Valerie and it is nephew Dennis Heckmann with whom Valerie shared an especially close bond.

Valerie was a free spirit who enjoyed making jewelry and dreamcatchers. Her favourite colour yellow captured her sunny disposition and her renowned sweet tooth reflected her appetite for life.

Her friends knew her as "Crazy Val" or "Wild Val". But what Valerie most loved in life was the time that she was able to spend with her daughter Cheryl, of whom she was immensely proud, and her grandsons. Valerie cherished her trips to Winnipeg to be with them and their visits to her.
