Verona Elizabeth Hiebert

HIEBERT: Verona Elizabeth (nee Henry) passed away peacefully with her family at her side in Vancouver on July 26, 2014 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband John, Verona will be lovingly remembered by sons, John (Karen) and Gordon (Kathy), and daughter Theresa MacDonald (Roy) and her grandchildren Matthew, Jennifer, Paul, Carla and Darren and great-grandchildren Alexis, Raelyn, Bryden and Sophia.

Born in Vancouver, Verona enjoyed field hockey, softball, dancing and roller-skating. She enjoyed life-long friendships with school chums from John Oliver High School and her favourite activity was enjoying parties and gatherings of friends and family. She was an active participant with the Van Zor ladies and at the Collingwood Community Neighbourhood House. She loved watching her Vancouver Canucks.

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 9:30 a.m., at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at 10:30 a.m. at South Burnaby United Church at 7591 Gray Ave., Burnaby, B.C.

Flowers gratefully declined, friends so wishing may make a memorial contribution to the charity of their choice.
