

Vyron Byron Mitsiadis, 84, born March 23, 1932, in Papigo, Greece, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Vancouver, BC. Byron arrived in Canada in 1965. After working the mines of the Canadian North for several years, he eventually called Vancouver his home, where he plied his trade as an electrician and raised his young family. A humble and honorable man, Byron was devoted to his wife and children and was always there for his siblings, relatives, friends and neighbours. He is survived and dearly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Frideriki; his two children, Leo and his wife, Vicki, and Genie and her husband, Nick; and five grandchildren, Byron, Nicola, Chris, Byron and Chryssoula. His grandchildren treasured the time they spent with their constant and caring pappou. He will also be missed by his many relatives and friends.
Prayers to be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at St. George's Orthodox Cathedral, 4500 Arbutus St., Vancouver, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., Father Constantinos Economos officiating. Burial service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
