Walter passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Vancouver during his 87th year. Survived by his loving family: wife Marjorie of 63 years; son Brian; daughter Carol and grandson Matthias.
Wally, or Sonny as many knew him as, was born and remained in Vancouver all his life. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying golf, baseball, skiing, and fishing. He began his career in the printing trade but decided to venture out into the world of education where he spent over 25 years mentoring students in Graphic Arts and Communications at Churchill Secondary school. He will best be remembered for being a straight shooter, loud speaker, and putting the needs of others first.
Wally decided how and when to leave this world without any fuss and had chosen to not have any funeral proceedings.
A special thanks to the entire staff at Blenheim Lodge for the care they provided during the final stage of his journey. He will sadly be missed by all who knew him.
