He was preceded in death by his parents Brian and Muriel, brother Michael and sister Brenda.
His memory and love will always be cherished by his survivors; sister Susan (Rick), wife Ethel, son Steven (Kelly), daughter Diane, and beloved grandchildren Hayley, Amy, Leah, Mason and Nya.
Before retiring in 2005, Wilf’s career included logging, Queen’s printer, and most notably 34 years in Fire Rescue. Those years were 25 years at UBC (fire chief) and 9 years city of Vancouver (General Manager).
Wilf will be dearly missed by the many lives and hearts he touched. He volunteered a lot of his time to the Boy Scouts, various junior sports, and the Christmas bureau toy drive. Retirement gave him more time for his favourite activities such as fishing, bowling, pool, travel, and golf, golf, golf.
Thank you Dr Ngai and Richmond hospital staff. Private celebration of life.
