Harold Stephens

Harold married Helen McMahon in 1936, she preceded him in death in 2003. Harold was co-owner and manager of Vancouver Funeral Chapel for 35 years. He was a member of First Christian Church in Vancouver and served as Elder-Treasurer and Trustee for many years; Life member of Smith Reynolds Post #14 of the American Legion; A 30 year member of Royal Oaks Country Club; 25 years with the Fort Vancouver Lions Club; A member of Gideon Association, and Christian Business Men’s Club for several years; He attended and graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Survivors include his son, Bob Stephens, of Casa Grande, AZ; daughter, Mary Jean Bates, of Casa Grande, AZ; Sister, Delores Molander, of Vancouver, WA; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a public viewing from 10am to 5pm Friday, Sept. 28th at the Vancouver Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29th at 1pm at the First Christian Church 111 W. 19th St. Vancouver, WA 98660.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Ray Hickey Hospice House.
