

Ada Lloyd Ayle, 94, of Englewood, Florida died peacefully in her sleep on January 31, 2024 at Truewood Merrill Gardens in Port Charlotte. Born February 2, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio she is predeceased by her parents, William R. and Wilda Butterfield Lloyd, son Dean Ayle of Truckee, California, her husband Donald Ayle, and later companion John “Jack” Bender.
Ada retired from Hameroff, Milenthal, Spence advertising agency in Columbus, Ohio where she was the office manager. She moved to Englewood in 1990 when she and Don retired. Together they spent many happy hours at the VFW Post 10178 in Englewood where Ada served as a past president of the Ladies’ Auxiliary.
Survivors include son Marc (Elaine) Ayle of Westerville, Ohio; granddaughters Sarah (Scott) Stecher of Gig Harbor, Washington and Killien (Joseph) Howenstine of Westerville; grandson Tanner (Alana) Ayle of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five great grandchildren Isaac and Eli Stecher, Robbie Ayle, Brigid and Finn Howenstine.

On Friday, February 16 at 12:30 pm a memorial service and luncheon will honor Ada Ayle at VFW post 10178, 550 N. McCall Rd., Englewood, Florida, 34223. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ladies’ Auxiliary of VFW Post 10178.
