I am so sorry to learn of Bruce’s passing. Please accept my deepest and heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I have fond memories of my step-brother; he was always very kind to me and my mother, and his dad loved him beyond measure. Lew was so proud of his son, as well he should have been.  Bruce looks so much like his dad! I remember many happy times we shared so long ago. As believers, we can be assured Bruce has entered eternity with our loving, merciful Lord where someday you will be reunited   I wish you comfort and peace in your time of sorrow. May Bruce rest in eternal peace. 

Bruce Bodolay was a man with a lot of class. A self made man who always had a cheerful attitude and a positive direction on life. The thing he loved most the get together's after work with friends. He always asked me to tell some of his favorite jokes. His joy and laughter was contagious. He was three months older than me and because of that he said I should respect my elders. It figures that he was working up to the end. He was one hell of a man. Some of us are gone now the group is getting smaller every year. All I can say is that I enjoyed working with him all those years at Olympic Steel.  My condolences to his wife Pat and family.  A Friend, James Jerome   

The one thing missing from Bruce's obituary, is what a kind and loving person he was.  He loved people and really enjoyed laughing and playfully teasing.  He was kind, generous and truly cared about the people in his life, rather related to him or casual acquaintances.  
I will miss his smile and laughter.  I can honestly and genuinely say, I love him and will miss him.


Nice memories of sharing a glass (or two) of wine at your favorite eatery - Cassariano’s.  Our astute comments on everyone except us!!!  Remember, with a smile, dancing @ the Allegro Bistro patio with our gang of friends, and money being tucked, thrown, and flying all over$$$$ the festivities!  Bruce, see you when I get there and we will keep it going$$. Miss you my friend.    Larry

As I think of Bruce and Pat, there are volumes of memories that rush through me - and they all make me smile.  I have shared a quote below that touched me, particularly because , it felt like this unknown author wrote it for Bruce and Pat - like he/she knew them.

"A man truly loves you when missing you is his hobby and caring for you is his job and making you happy is his duty and loving you is his life."

I always enjoyed listening to Bruce talk about his BIG winnings! The smile on his face was fabulous 🥰🥰🥰🥰

My dad completed approximately 300 jigsaw puzzles from March 2020-Jan. 2023, ranging from 300-1000 pieces each. It became our thing to do them together. He liked it when they had lots of color, letters or words, and “good sections.” Sometimes we’d find a “critical” piece of the puzzle. Each time he finished a puzzle without me, he’d take a picture of it on his phone and send it to me. I’m so glad we shared those times together.

I cherished both my professional and personal relationships with Bruce.  Pam and I moved to Venice after listening to many stories of how beautiful Southwest Florida is.  Weekly dinners with Bruce and Pat became the highlight of our week.  RIP our friend you will be missed.

My dad LOVED his birthday. He always wanted to make sure he had some kind of celebration. Every year it was the same thing. He acted like it was no big deal to him and that it really wasn’t necessary to do much of anything on his birthday. But, really he was hoping someone had something planned for him. 
If nothing was planned for him, he would plan it himself in order to guarantee a fun time.

Rest in Peace Uncle Bruce.....you've always been so very kind to me and our entire family. I know Jennie and Silvio cherish the life-long friendship they've enjoyed with you and Pat. You have been like family to us and we will always remember the fun and happy times. Someday when we are reunited, you will find me that "reject" that you always promised. :)

My sincere condolences. Bruce was a friend, mentor and excellent vendor. We did business together for decades, both when he represented Olympic Steel and then when he started his own company, Classic Steel. His dinner parties were legendary. He will be missed. Rest in peace.
