Carl F. Peterson passed away at his home in Rotonda West, FL on June 30, 2021. Born in Tampa, FL, on June 22, 1960, Carl spent most of his childhood in Harpursville, NY, where he graduated from high school. He spent most of his career as a sheet metal mechanic and foreman, including 25 years at J&J Sheet Metal in Vestal, NY, and 5 years with United Mechanical in Fort Myers, FL. Most recently he worked at the Charlotte County (FL) School System.
Carl is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joanne (Van Warner) Peterson, son Christopher G. Peterson, sisters Georgianne Peterson and Barbara (Peterson) Page (James), brother Eric Peterson, his close friend and cousin John Russo (Mary Lou), mother-in-law Isabel Van Warner, and several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents George and Grace (Russo) Peterson.
Carl requested that in lieu of a funeral service, please consider a donation to the Broome County Humane Society or another charity of your choice. Remembrance services may be held at a later date at the family's convenience.
