Gerry was born on March 24, 1948 in Westfield, Massachusetts. He was a born solider and dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his country as a member of the Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant. His commitment to duty and his unwavering loyalty to his fellow service members earned him the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Gerry was stationed in Korea in 1973. The first woman he met in Korea would become his wife, Kim. They were married in 1974, and traveled the world together. They were happily married for 50 years.
They moved to New Hampshire to start a family in 1980 and built their first house in 1986. He was a loving father to his daughter, Anne, creating many memories especially fishing. Gerry and Kim later retired in Rotonda West, Florida, in 2004.
In addition to his military service, Gerry spent his time giving to the community: he regularly maintained a local trail in Lee, New Hampshire for others to enjoy. He was a cat volunteer at the Suncoast Humane Society.
A principled and private man, Gerry lived his life with integrity and honor. He was proud of what he was able to accomplish in his life given his humble start: he served his country, met and married the love of his life, traveled the world, raised a daughter, and retired in paradise. He peacefully passed in his beloved home with his wife by his side.
Gerry is survived by his wife, Kim, and his daughter, Anne. He will receive a military ceremony in Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date.
