Joanne Louise Bahn

Joanne Louise Bahn, 96, a resident of Venice FL, passed away on March 26, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 30, 1929 in Warren, Ohio and grew up in West Farmington, Ohio. She was the daughter of Eugene and Ruth Hall. She married the late Robert A. Bloomquist (1924-1988) then remarried to the late William H Bahn (1933-2024). Joanne is survived by three children, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Joanne and Bob lived in Bath, NY for 20 years raising their three children, then relocated to Indiana, PA. Joanne and Bill lived in Indiana, PA for 5 years then relocated to Englewood, FL where they spent their retirement years traveling domestically and internationally.

Joanne earned her undergraduate degree in education and taught elementary school in Indiana county for several years. She then went on to become a case worker for the state of Pennsylvania.

Joanne was very active in the Episcopal church (Saint Thomas Episcopal Church in Bath, NY, Christ Episcopal Church in Indiana, PA, and St. David’s Episcopal Church in Englewood, FL). She cherished the time she spent with her family and was an inspiration to all of them.

Joanne never stopped giving her time and energy to those in need. In her later years she and her therapy dog Wally became volunteers at Tidewell Hospice and were quite popular during their weekly visits. The family requested donations in Joanne’s memory be made to Tidewell Hospice at www.tidewellfoundation.org .

A celebration of her life is being held at 3 PM Saturday May 30, 2026
