Ken was a veteran, serving as a flight mechanic during the Korean War. He loved his adopted state of Vermont where he built the house he raised his family in. He was a closet environmentalist with most of his free time centered around outdoor activities. At the age of 70, and with the trail name The Vermont Groundhog, he completed the Appalachian Trail. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus in Essex, VT, enjoying the many hours spent there and perfecting his famous fish stew. After spending 30 years as a computer engineer for IBM, Ken swore off a life of technology, moved to Florida, and walked and fished the gulf shores every day into his 89th year. He will be greatly missed.
