His memory will be cherished forever by his wife and soulmate Jill Elliott, his children Donna Dahlberg, Leslie Robert Dahlberg IV and Rachel Gregory, her husband Robert and their son Kayden, his sisters Christine Dahlberg, Carol Meyer, and Cyndy Ennis, brother-in-law Mike Ennis and Scott Wilkinson and his many other friends and family members
Les moved to Florida as a young man following his lifelong dream to be near the ocean and catch as many fish as possible. He was a Cub’s fan and avid gardener with many beautiful native plants in his yard and house. As the primary cook of the family, he enjoyed finding interesting new recipes and trying them out on others. In the past 3 years he was finally able to buy a good boat capable of going out in the Gulf fishing which made him very happy. He had a big smile and a warm hug for his family and all the people he cared about. Les loved camping and boating and knew the backwaters of the Florida Bays like the back of his hand. He enjoyed fishing, drinking beer, eating good food, watching birds, taking a dip in the pool but most of all hanging out with Jill who was the love of his life. By trade he was a glazier. He worked for Lemon Bay glass for over 15 years and was loved and respected by his coworkers. Les was a kind and generous man who was happy with his life and will always be missed.
Our family is very grateful for all the expressions of love and support we have received over this difficult time. We would especially like to thank Lemon Bay Glass for their support as well as Dental Excellence of Englewood and many other friends of the family.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday July 8 from 3-6:00 at Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Park 1000 South McCall RD. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.lemonbayfh.com for the DAHLBERG family.
