

She was a graduate of MacDuffie School for Girls in Granby, MA in 1962 and received her AA as a Medical Secretary at Lasell Junior College in Auburndale, MA in 1964. She spent most of her career working at UMASS Hospital in Worcester, MA in the Neurology Department where she worked with Dr Guido Majno to publish the textbook “Cells, Tissues, and Diseases-Principles of General Pathology”. She ended her career at Jervey Eye Group as a Medical Transcriptionist in Newnan, GA. Linda loved spending time at the beach, travelling, good food, live music (especially by Rod Stewart!), HGTV, spending time with family and friends and entertaining.
She is survived by her adoring husband of 58 years, who lovingly called her “Maggie”, Jack Johnston; 3 daughters-Jennifer Carlucci and her husband, Joseph, of Rotonda West, FL, Amy Visconte and her husband Stephen, of Rockland, MA, Robin Atchue and her husband Mark, of Holden, MA; 6 grandchildren Maggie and Nicholas Carlucci; Robert and Mitchell Visconte; Anna and Amanda Atchue, her brother Kenneth Mosedale of Franconia, NH, nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Muriel Mosedale; sister Marcia Leven and brothers David and Robert Mosedale.
There will be a celebration of Linda’s life held at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 1935 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, Florida 34299 on Saturday June 22, 2024, at 11:00am. The family would like to express our thanks to the hospice team of Empath Tidewell Hospice at Fawcett Hospital.
