Mark was born in Blairsville, Pennsylvania April 4th 1935.
Vandergrift Pennsylvania is where he spent his childhood and graduated Vandergrift high School in May 1952 at the age of 17.
He joined the Air Force in 1952 and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant four years later. Mark served in the Korean war, and was proud to be a veteran of service.
After his military discharge he continued his education at Indiana State college in Pittsburgh followed by Rensselaer Polytech majoring in physics and mathematics. He shared this knowledge by teaching both high school and college level students before he was hired on at IBM as a human factors engineer. This would be his life career, retiring from IBM Federal systems division in Endicott, NY. Mark (widowed) had two daughters, Kathleen Elmy of Endicott N.Y. and Dianna Mullen, most recently residing in Olympia Washington and one granddaughter Ayla Mullen also in Washington State.
After retirement Mark moved to Grove City Florida residing there with his partner of 23 years, Linda Butler.
