She was born January 26, 1948 to George and Muriel (nee Bishop) Fischer. Nancy moved to Englewood, Florida with her husband Pete Harper and son George Harper in 1972. Many people know Nancy from her years at Englewood Elementary School as the registrar in the front office. After retiring from the Sarasota County School system and the loss of her husband, she moved to Ellenton to be close to her older sister Georgene.
She is survived by her son, George Harper of Englewood, Fl; Stepson Don Harper of Ill; Stepdaughter Frances LeMasters of Oh; Sister Debra Roombos of Mobile, Al.
She will be laid to rest in the Memorial Gardens of the V.F.W. in Ellenton as were her wishes. The date is expected to be July 20th at 3:30pm.
