Patricia A. Engen

A long time seasonal and now permanent resident of Englewood, FL she previously lived in St. Cloud, MN. She graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart Sanford Engen and they settled in St. Cloud, MN to raise their five children.

Pat had many interests. She was an avid bowler, bowling 600. She introduced her family to camping and enjoyed hiking, water skiing, cross country skiing, and kayaking. She loved to play cards, dance, listen to all types of music and participated in line dancing. She was a Girl Scout leader for 15 years and on the local council board. She shared her outdoor interests with many young women. She was also an election judge and delivered meals on wheels. She loved spending time during the summers at the family lake property.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Sanford Engen of 65 years and children Debbie (Steve) Anderson, Marvin (Peggy) Engen, Allen (Lori) Engen, Amy (Leo Schaut) Egan, Bryan (Jennine) Engen. She loved to be with her ten grandchildren: Dr. Rachel Engen, Brian Engen, Mitchel (Mike Villa) Engen, Jesica (Ben) Linker, Sarah (Brian) Affias, Jeremy Engen, Andrew Engen, Kyra Engen, Ian Engen, Ashley Egan; and two great grandchildren: Konnar Engen and Logan Linker. Survivors include her brother Rick (Bev) Saatzer, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Marie Saatzer, special aunts Hilda Ahles and Rosalie Kost. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Englewood.
