Robert Frank Scott Jr.

Bob was born on September 12, 1943, to Robert F. Scott Sr. and Edna Hoffmann. He moved to Chicago with his mother at a young age and graduated from Carl Schurz High School in 1962. As a child, Bob traveled around the mid-west racing boats in the JU class. He worked for the phone company in Chicago for several years before moving to Englewood in 1969.

Bob worked at the Gasparilla Marina, drove for the Englewood volunteer ambulance, was a heavy equipment operator, ran his own lawn care business, and was a long-standing member of the Englewood Moose Lodge 1933 for which his father, Bob was a founding member. He married Monica Rolling, a nurse, in 1971 and together raised three children on their homestead on Crestwood Rd.

Bob began working as Head of Operations at St. Raphael Catholic Church in 1988. Bob married his second wife, Geraldine, in 1990. He enjoyed computer hobbies, RVing and camping, antiques and collectibles, visiting family, and genealogy.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Raymond of Queens, New York and survived by his sons Robert F. III and Stacey Scott of Kingwood, TX and Daniel Scott and Meredith Ann Paxton of Houston, TX, daughter Christina and Scott Cash of Raleigh, NC, his stepchildren William and Rebecca Raymond of Edgewater, MD and Annie and John Dobrin of Sarasota, FL, by his 10 grandchildren Victoria, Sam, Jakob, Michael, Abigail, Matthew, Margaret, Noah, Noelle, and Ellysia and by his sister Nancy Wille of Englewood.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on March 27th at St. Raphael Catholic Church at 770 Kilbourne Ave. Englewood, Florida. A celebration of life will be held at the St. Raphael parish center immediately following the memorial service.
