March 12, 1959 – January 24, 2022
Sean Corcoran, 62, of Englewood, FL, passed peacefully, in comfort, and with dignity on January 24, 2022, under the gentle care of the Tidewell hospice staff at Venice Regional Bayfront Health. Born in Winchester, MA, he was raised and educated in Braintree, MA.
Sean spent most of his adult life traveling from state to state learning a variety of trades. Whether it was honing his welding skills as a pipefitter on the off-shore oil rigs of Louisiana and Texas, or running a fishing trawler in the Gulf of Mexico, Sean was happiest when at sea. A talented illustrator, he apprenticed in tattoo art for several years but found his greatest skill in woodworking. Bringing worn pieces back to life and creating new works. Sean also had a passion for custom motorcycles and fabrication that fueled his lifelong hobby.
Sean is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Kim and Chuck Vranas of Braintree, MA, his lifelong friends Frankie and Carolyn Lane of Abington, MA, and his caring neighbor and dear friend Carolyn Pope of Englewood, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert J. Corcoran and Margery (Ring) Corcoran.
Services will be private. Sean’s family and friends would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff of Tidewell Care Center. In place of flowers, donations in Sean’s memory may be made to Tidewell Hospice via The Tidewell Foundation, Inc. (https://tidewellfoundation
