Suzanne P. Rundle, lovingly known as Suzy, passed away on October 12, 2025, due to stroke complications. Born on October 18, 1941, in Middletown, Connecticut, she was the cherished daughter of the late Louisa Boyer and Malcolm B. Pearce, Sr. Suzy was predeceased by her older brother, Malcolm B. Pearce Jr., and older sister, Dianne Shirley.
Suzy is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, William N. Rundle, Sr. High school sweethearts, Suzy and Bill built a life filled with love and laughter in Essex Junction, Vermont, and later in retirement in Venice, Florida. Their enduring bond was rooted in affection and humor—Suzy often said the secret to their long marriage was “yes dear, and two TVs.”
She leaves behind three beloved sons: William N. Rundle, Jr. (Lisa), Todd Rundle (Diane), and Jonathan Rundle (Denise), along with six wonderful grandchildren and one miracle great-grandson.
A proud graduate of Durham High School (1959) and Lasell Junior College (1961), Suzy epitomized the All-American homemaker. Raising three boys, she became a passionate sports mom, spending countless hours cheering from hockey rinks, football fields, and baseball diamonds.
Suzy had a lifelong love of water—cherished days on Lake Champlain with Bill and beachcombing along Florida’s coast were among her happiest moments. She was an active member of the Englewood Shell Club, where she enjoyed excursions, friendships, and collecting beautiful shells.
Known for her warmth and hospitality, Suzy loved entertaining, whether hosting intimate dinners or lively gatherings. Her culinary talents and gracious spirit made every occasion special. She also enjoyed traveling and playing cards, embracing life with enthusiasm and grace.
Suzy was an exceptional woman whose legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. She departed this world with the comforting belief that “the greatest happiness a heart can know is found in a husband’s love.”
Remembrance ceremonies for family and friends will be held at a later date. Memories and condolences may be shared through Kays-Donger & Uselton Funeral Services in Venice, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations in Suzy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
